Explanation of Space-A Priorities

Official Orders (Non Med): Members traveling on official USCG business and have been issued
orders. (Persons traveling on medical orders do not need to sign up on this website. Confirm 
your travel plans with Off-Island Care.)

Emergency Leave: Members traveling while in an Emergency Leave Status

EML with Sponsor: Members and their families, using their EML Letter 

Leave with Sponsor: Members and their families traveling Space-A

EML without Sponsor: Dependents traveling without the sponsor, using their EML Letter

Permissive Orders: Members traveling on Coast Guard business but do not have official orders

Space Available (w/o Sponsor): Dependents traveling without the sponsor

Retired/Reserve: Retirees or Reserve members on Activated Status.



EML Letter
----------
Environmental and Morale Leave Letters are issued by the member's command, usually through
the YN. This letter grants the use of a higher priority for the member and their dependants 
on four flights (two round trips). Do not lose this letter; replacements are not authorized.
