CHILD DEVELOPMENT CENTER

The Kodiak Child Development Center (CDC) and School Age Care (SAC) programs are essential to Team Kodiak's mission readiness, providing reliable, high-quality care that families can trust. Our approach is built on a vital partnership with parents, whom we see as the most influential people in a child’s life. Together, as a nationally accredited NAEYC facility, we create a strong foundation for lifelong learning. Through play, intentionally planned activities, and meaningful interactions, children enhance their cognitive, physical, social, and emotional growth. To further support their development, we provide nutritious meals and snacks through the USDA/CACFP food program. Our shared goal is to cultivate cooperation, self-respect, and character, ensuring each child thrives in a supportive environment built on this strong family-center partnership.

Monday - Friday:

7:30 AM – 4:30 PM

What we offer:

Full-day childcare programs accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children:
- Infant Care: children 6 weeks to 12 months old
- Pretoddler Care: Children 12 months to 24 months old
- Toddler Care: children 24-36 months old
- Preschool Care: children 36-48 months old
- Pre-K Care: children 48 months to entrance to kindergarten
- School Age Care: children kindergarten through 5th grade
  - After School care concurrent with the school year
  - Full Day care for school breaks
Part Day Preschool Care:
- Children ages 3 years old to entrance to kindergarten
- Must be toilet trained
- Concurrent with the school year
- Hours: 0800-1100
Drop In Care:
- Space Available, First come first served
- Must have a current and completed registration packet on file
- Hours: 0800-1600

USDA Food Program:

Food is prepared fresh in our commercial kitchen by a trained cook.
A variety of nutritious food is prepared in compliance with the Alaska USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program
Daily meal service: Breakfast, Lunch, Afternoon Snack
