YOUTH CENTER

Welcome to USCG Base Kodiak Youth Center located in the Northern Lights Recreation Facility (Base Gym). Our Youth Center is one of only four Coast Guard youth centers to maintain an affiliation agreement with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America (BGCA), which allows our staff to tap into the excellent programs and opportunities offered by the BGCA. Our youth activities staff does a fantastic job of keeping our youth busy, with a monthly calendar packed with daily, weekly, and seasonal events for ages 10-18. Eighteen-year-olds must be enrolled in high school. Staff also facilitate camps and sports seasons for K-8th grades, including, but not limited to: drama, soccer, bowling, archery, basketball, volleyball, and cheerleading or dance.
